We offer a range of ministries designed to support individuals and families at every stage of life. Our aim is to foster spiritual growth, community connection, and service to others within our church and the Poteet community.

Serving our beloved neighbors in Poteet through meaningful and compassionate acts while actively spreading the profound love of Christ through our dedicated food pantry ministry, providing essential food items for those in need during our bi-weekly distributions held every other Thursday.

Missions

We are committed to co-labor with a number of missionaries located worldwide and support them financially and with our prayers. As a New Testament church, First Baptist Church in Poteet, Texas firmly believes it is our collective responsibility to do everything we can to faithfully fulfill the Lord’s command given in, what is commonly called His Great Commission as it is revealed in Matthew 28.

 

Matthew 28:19-20 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

We support missionaries in several places around the world, including:

Because of the difficult nature of carrying on missionary work in India we will not post the names of those we help.
